BBC在推出电视剧版《无人生还》和《控方证人》之后，宣布预订七部阿加莎·克里斯蒂小说的影视改编作品，将于未来几年相继推出，其中三部确定为《无妄之灾》、《死亡终局》和《ABC谋杀案》。《无妄之灾》依旧由Sarah Phelps担任改编，原定于2017年圣诞期间播出。然而拍摄完成后，因剧中一位演员被牵涉到了性骚扰丑闻中而导致该剧无缘2017年圣诞档，播出时间被推迟，具体播出时间待定。
