故事主要围绕着活泼可爱的5岁小男孩顾得白一家发生的琐事。一家三口生活在天辰小区的一间小蜗居里，房子不大，却爱意满满，每天都会闹出许多小笑话。每天都会听到妈妈叫顾得白起床的怒吼声，爸爸五音不全的练嗓子。顾得白喃喃地低语声。这些声音交织在一起从这小小的蜗居里飘洒出去，在这座城市的上空描绘出彩虹。
