新年伊始，某市立医院的急救医师松冈(妻夫木聪饰)接下了一个急诊病患，病人高烧、痉挛、吐血、内脏 受损情况十分严重，但无法确诊是什么病，由于找不到有效的治疗方法，病人很快身亡。松冈还没有从一时的消沉中回过神来，事态却已经飞速升级。以同事安藤医生（佐藤浩市饰）为首，一些医疗人员也染上了这种怪病，接着又波及到患者、外来人员……医院上上下下数不清的人被病毒感染，整所医院陷入了混乱。
