《拥抱太阳的月亮》以朝鲜时代为背景，讲述的是虚拟的王（李暄）和巫女（月）两人之间的浪漫爱情史。李暄失去了在儿时一见钟情爱上的世子嫔，之后变成冷酷的王，偶然遇到了与初恋十分相似的巫女月，迷恋其中不能自拔。
